My boyfriend got a Mud Turtle from Turtlesource for his 20 gallon. The males only grow to 3" long and females only get a little bigger. He considered a musk turtle and a southern painted turtle too for it. :)

Plenty of people successfully keep bettas in room temperature water. AND Axolotls ARE cold water animals.

Betta? one betta? can also live with snails and shrimp. :) OR get a Axolotl!! They are beautiful amphibians and can live their lives totally in 10 gallons. (only get one!)

Personally I'd be careful of keeping all those with goldfish. When goldfish get big they eat smaller fish and copies will choke them with their fin spines. The Plecoptera may try to attach to the fish and suck its slime coat off. Anyway! Nice tank and fish. :)

Actually if you mix flakes with water before feeding them so they don't float they will be fine.

Photo student to the rescue! Set your camera to iso 640 shutter 1/125 and aperture to as low as it goes. Like 4.0 or some such. Then play around with what works best as far as your specific cameras settings go.
