My cories dont seem to notice they are not all the same.
My High-fin greens, pandas and sterbais all school together. In fact the larger greens help push the pandas to the food, its pretty funny
Water Changes
I use Purigen in my tank and it helps too.
Also live plants help a ton. They use the nitrates quite well. In fact in my planted tanks I have to add Nitrogen because the plants soak it all up and still need more.
I have 9 Tigers in my tank and have no problems with them fighting.
I believe the females have a more rounded belly than the males. So Im figuring I have 4 females and 5 males and the dominant male has the brightest coloring. He runs the show.

Ceramic rings are for the biological bacteria, they are a porus material where they colonize.
Carbon in only really used to remove meds or other impurities from the water.
I am growing Wisteria, Jungle val, and anubias Nana with pool filter sand. Just try to stick with plants that pull nutrients from the leaves more than the roots. The lunar lights have no effect on plant growth.
A good size bottle of Prime (250ml) will last you a while.
Look at the Current Lunar Links instead of the Coralife light. I like them much more. Also whatever you choose you will need more than 1. They say one light every 2 feet, so I would shoot for 3 lights. I have 2 Lunar links over my 29gal and it looks amazing at night.

If you are adding water directly into the aquarium via hose (Python system) you should treat the WHOLE volume of the tank. This is due to the new water already mixing with the new water.
