In my 5.5 I put in two rocks (small)that were in the tank a while back they had already been washed but they were in my cabinet for a while... And then a few days later my water turned murky and two fish died... Does anyone know what could've happened and how to treat it? Here's a pic of the tank:
If it's a breed of mystery snail then it is not rare... Sorry... But blue mystery snails are a common breed in pet stores and the green one is common too I just forget the name
I just got some new sand and I am going to wash it thoroughly but is there a way to get the silicates out of the sand first because I really don't want it to cause fungus and algae like my other tank

Wow I'm surprised you like the look of it!! I hate it and I used to leave my lights on all day but now I only leave them on for about 8 hours a day.. I don't have co2 yet but I am going to make my own... Most people say that co2 won't help with fungus... And I have 2 oto cats and thinking of...
Yea I think it's the lighting in my 15 because I don't over feed definitely but I have lowered the lighting to about 8 hours a day... And today I haut bought 2 oto cats to help clean up some of the algae... And my dwarf hairgrass is looking horrible it's practically brown all the way!!!!! I see...
So do yu think co2 would help this situation because I can make one myself but if I don't need it that would be great! And do u have co2 in your African tank?
