I tried to mix opal and blue gourami with dwarf ones. It didn't go well. My dwarfs kept getting harassed by the bigger gourami. I had Gold Blue Opal Pink kissing They killed my dwarf gourami. They never came out of there shell. :/

I think tetras would be a safe bet with guppies. Giant danios Any danios really. Australian rainbow I have had good luck with these.

Yes I use adult size for one inch of fish per gallon. When I start set up a tank I don't go over the 1 for 1. When you get more aggressive fish it is important to think about territory. But schooling fish it works good. And I mostly stick to community fish.

The gourami look young. About how old are they?? Because if they are still juveniles then you will want to wait till they mature. But with the angel fish there is no telling till thy mature. :/ At least I haven't been able to tell.
