    VERY gravid blushing whiteskirt tetra

I noticed eggs in my blushing white skirt tetra about 3 months ago. She is the only one of her kind in my tank, so she can't spawn with a male. I was wondering if she was waiting for a male or why she has been holding these eggs for so long. Is she ever going to 'lay' her eggs without a male...

    Constantly panting Neon Tetra

My large neon tetra has been constantly "out of breath". At first I thought it was because he had been playing with the other two but, he hasn't stopped in well over a week, and he's panting even as he sleeps(or rests, or whatever it's called). I have 3 guppies, a clown pleco, a gravid blushing...

    Broken tail?

I have recently gotten a blushing white skirt tetra (a few months ago) and she is now gravid. About a month ago, the bottom of her tail had somehow snapped, but it is nearly done mending itself. The problem is with the base of its tail (at the top). It seems to be breaking off from the rest of...

    WOW

I was recently at a seaside restaurant and it had a saltwater fish tank inside. The tank itself was nothing special... Pretty dim lighting, the tank itself was not too big either and it didn't have any extraordinary decor, but it had the biggest puffer I've EVER seen!!! It must have been around...

My clown pleco is now TANISH GREEN?! He is supposed to look like this But now he's like this (sorry if he is hard to see behind that plant) his color does often change-- but only slightly. Maybe the picture will show him darker than he looks right now but I am just very concerned about whether...

    Tetra Problems

One of my neon tetras is "breathing" very heavily. He is quite big, Probably an inch and a half, and he just keeps gasping... But my other two seem fine. Why is he so "out of breath"? Here's a picture: My other issue is with my blushing skirted tetra (blushing hifin tetra; blushing white skirt...

    Color Changing Pleco!?

My clown pleco is sometimes brown, sometimes greenish... Could this have to do with the fact that u can't get him any driftwood? Why is this so? Also, why is he so skittish, is that typical of them?

    Stock Up Cichlid Tank!

I am determined to get a Cichlid tank very soon... I'm going to to whatever I can to come up with the money to get a 60 gal aquarium. The one I plan on buying is a FANTASTIC deal I found on Craig's List but I'll need to get some hard water stains out... Any tips? Also I'd like to get a list of...

    Guppy vs. Cichlid

I currently have a 10 gal tank with a few guppies, neons, a skirted tetra, and clown pleco. I've been searching for a much larger tank (over 25 gal, no particular size... Depending on the price). So here's my question: Should I continue with the guppies or go for some larger fish like cichlids...
