    I'm thinking about Fluval Pressurized CO2 Kit - CO2 88 for my bigger tank and then liquid for the small tanks. Thoughts? Also do you have a suggested test kit for all the new things I need to be testing for?

    there is a sand type lower substrate, followed by pea gravel type, followed by colorful gravel. exact types are unknown I didn't pick it.

    Drilling acrylic, things to watch out for?

    I used a cordless drill, glass of water, carbide glass drilling bit and a lot of time to drill mine. On thing I found was drill till the tip makes it thru and then drill from the other side.

    Total Lumens - 1000 PAR@12" - 36 PAR@18" - 28 PAR@24" - 21 My tank is 15" from top of rim to top of substrate. So PAR is somewhere between 36 and 28. They say 18 watts but on I read on the forum it's not much watts anymore more on PAR.

    Journal: Restarting a Fishless Cycle (with naturally soft water).

    That's exactly what mine did. Mine did that one Tuesday. I brought my ammonia back up to 2.0ppm and tested during the day watched nitrites slowly rise to .50ppm and >24 hours everything was back to zero (cept nitrAtes of course). Fish shopping today woot

    Purigen is what I use to keep tannis out of my tanks it doesn't seem to cause other issues. I run mine with Purigen and Activated Carbon. Everything and everyone says you don't need AC but I figured if it's not gonna hurt it wth... BTW when will I get my dive weight back from holding my newest...
