My god I did this exercise to myself about a year ago...I think I still have some of what I spent floating around on a credit card somewhere..For my 72 gal drilled reef with custom sump I spent 2k fast...That was just upgrading to the big boy tank.

Those white hermit crabsare aggresive as heck! Those things are killers. Im actually not surprised at all...I would remove him (I actually removed one from my tank) I have even seen them snap off the spines of long spined urchins...

I seriously just entertained my entire office showing them those videos and explaining what a mantis shrimp is! Now they are convinced I should get one....lol Thanks for the great video

Is it sitting level? Mine always leaked if I had it tilted? Or somtimes when I picked it up for maitenance?

Hmmm....Cheap MH=fire...T5=lower energy cost and no fire.... I'm sure it is luck of the draw with those lights I imagine many of them work just fine...But it may be a crap shoot...

Try filling the center cylinder body with more water. Could be there isnt enuff in there? I had to do that once after I really gutted mine.

I agree kill the source first! However to get a jump start I used Chemi-clean. It is amazing stuff. I wouldn't use it to fight cyano on a regular basis. But when I killed the fuel source with RO DI and smaller feedings coupled with this it was gone and done. Also It is harmful to filter feeders...

I dont think thats too hot (82-84)...I try and keep mine at 80-81 degrees.. Just my opinion though
