This is my Ram I originally thought it was a male but I'm not sure

I just did copper cause I haven't been able to figure out what it is

I'm not getting anymore rams I have a bunch of other fish and none of them have had a problem it's only female rams I don't get it! I have a QT tank that's what she was in when she died

This time it's different it's spots on her head idk if it's the same thing or not I'm gonna see how she's doing tomorrow

The replacement female got the same thing I noticed it this morning. I put her in a hospital tank and I'm treating with copper sulfate I think the female is getting stressed out from being chased by the male so I got another female and hopefully that'll help.

She was a German blue ram Cichlid and died yesterday

I think it was the spot that killed her not the meds

No deffinatly not I was doing a 40 gallon dose and the tank is 55. And I think if it was that it would've gotten some of the other fish too

I'm going to stop treating and add water my tank is a little low but not do a big change because I want to get another one cause her mate seems so sad.

Found her like this this morning asked a guy what to do at work (I work at a pet store) I was going to quarantine her and treat with copper as a last try but she didn't last till I made it home?

Yep! Her color is great just a small spot left. I feel like it's just like a "scab" on a person now and will come off with time I'm still using melafix to be safe I'll eventually switch to every other day or half the dose each day

It says on the bottle to use it for 3 days when adding new fish I guess that's just to prevent infection though

I have test strips but my rummy nose tetra are extra sensitive to water changes and they're completely fine

There's no longer a line through it and the bump is no longer a bump it's just the white left!!!

The spot has gotten smaller so I think I'm okay with just the melafix. I don't like using too many chemicals. Especially after the copper incident? I'll try the hydrogen peroxide on the glass! Thanks for all the help☺️

Not mushroom it looked like a little bit of melted marsh mellow a little larger than a nickel.

This is an old post I wiped it off and they were all fine

The spot is still the same but the fishes color is much better and he's acting more normal! On the glass it was larger and looked like a marshmellow I got it off and it hasn't come back but there's still some in a dent that I can't scrub out

Would columnaris also grow on the glass?

I think the spot was on his back but with all my messed up messages I'm not thinking clearly right now
