Not an expert but our betta is majorly lazy it sits on top of the filter or sits on top of everything else he's very reluctant to swim unless he's being fed. You could wait for better advise I'm just letting you know mine is similar ! Hope he's ok though :)

I don't understand where the "they can live without a heater and filter" nonsense comes from. We rescued out first betta from a shop poor boy was in a tank full of large oscars and he was quite beaten up. We got told they just needed a tank with water so we did that. He was very lethargic and...

Wish it had lasted more than 48 hours though! Had a right royal hissy fit and threatened to shut my tank down ! The other one however has came out it's shell and is happily swimming around. Hopefully it decides to stay around for longer !! Thanks for the kind words

Not happy :( one of my rams died today all water is fine had them 2 days !! It looks "normal" nothing untoward on outside so I don't have a clue what's happened !!

May be a silly question but if water is too cold is it normal for fish to sit on the bottom? I've got a marina heater and a light comes on whenever you turn it round so far. Water feels cold to touch and is reading between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius starting to panic I wake up to no fish :(

Bought 6 Congo tetras after much deliberation wanted some nice schooling fish ... They don't school !!! He's got a 300 litre tank it was his hobby and I've joined on the bandwagon ! My fish are better than his though haha
