Hard to tell. First picture looks 100% female which would explain a lot. Second picture could be a male though.

Definitely a female. Right is female, left is male. You can tell because of the dorsal fin shape at the end. The males comes to a point while the females rounds off.

If it's less than 5 gal, it will need to be cleaned more than often but all you need to do is a water change and use conditioner.

Cleaning your tank too often kills off the good bacteria in your tank. That bacteria stabilizes your water and keeps your fish healthy. Only do water changes every month or 3 weeks if it really needs it.

Alright :) thank you. I'll fast her tomorrow and see if she'll take a pea the day after. If I fast my betta, should I fast the cories aswell? She tries to eat the flakes and spits em out.

She didn't recognize the pea as food.

Also, she's always eager to eat more. Nothing seems unusual. She just appears huge.
