    Help brand new to this

I started seeding my second tank last weekend and it cycled in around 3 days. All I did was leave the filter running in a bucket full of dirty water from my first tank's filter. I would suggest getting some kind of aquarium dirt media to put in a bucket full of water and submerse the running...

    Is my corydoras pregnant?

I've been feeding my albino corydoras a lot more than usual lately, if this is what you call 'conditioning'. I have the male and female in the breeding tank and the female is eating constantly. When do you think I should do the cold water change and at what time? How long usually before they...

    What plant is this?

The plants you mentioned look similar to it, except that my one is more crumpled so it's quite hard to determine.

Hi, I would like to know what aquarium plant this is as it's not growing as fast as my other plants so I need to research how to improve its growth. If you know, please let me know. Thanks.

What are these and how do I eradicate?

They would be quite hard to remove without fish, as fish eat them.

    JBL Proflora

I'm only looking for JBL CO2 systems as my local fosh store only refills JBL.

Would a 20g tank be too much for a betta?

With fish tanks, the bigger the better. And you can consider adding more fish if you want. I think your betta was only curious with the snail.

    JBL Proflora

I am getting a pressurised CO2 for my soon-to-be planted tank and am looking for the right pressurised CO2 system. What I am so confused about is what is the difference between the JBL Proflora m502 and JBL Proflora m602? They both use the same m500 cylinder and supply the same tank volume...

Is this Pot belly Molly pregnant

Try checking for the black gravid spot behind its abdomen. If there is, then she's pregnant.

My one looked a lot deeper than that when she got pregnant.

48 inch 28 watt T-5 bulbs not available?

Maybe because they don't exist? There are however 28 watt T5 bulbs that are 590mm.

    Fuzzy driftwood?

Had the same problem when I first added driftwood to my tank. It went away after a few months. Maybe scrubbing them off will remove them quicker.

Lowering ph in my planted tank

The only natural way of lowering pH is to add ornaments that release tannins, as tannic acid is the compound that lowers the pH, like bogwood, driftwood, peat moss, almond leaves, alder cones etc. I found my driftwood from the beach and it worked marvelously. I also found the alder cones from...

    Time's up, Tannins!

Add a carbon sponge to your filter. If I were you, I would keep the tannins. Makes the tank look more natural.

Freshwater fish for 8.4 pH water?

African cichlids is my best bet. But if you're into less boisterous fish, I would go for livebearers, like guppies, swordtails etc. And maybe add a few snails too. They thrive in hard water.

Pair of discus or angelfish in 20G tall?

No the tank is too small. I have a 24 gallon and I wouldn't keep angelfish or discus due to the size of the adults.

    High-lighted Tanks?

I am looking at LEDs for now. How do I know whether the LED fixture has enough intensity for my tank?

    High-lighted Tanks?

Thanks a lot. I shall try to find a cheaper light fixture to fit onto a gooseneck. Just to let you know, my tank is a freshwater tank. These Kessil products seem like they are for marine tanks.

    Stocking a Juwel Rio 125

If you have Shpock (the phone app), someone is selling 3 sterbai corydoras at the moment for £10.

    High-lighted Tanks?

Oh cool. Am I able to adjust the light fixture to fit the top of my tank or do I have to buy a specific size (and shape) that would suit my tank? And thanks a lot btw. I had no idea I can customise my tank setup.

    High-lighted Tanks?

So if I were to attain the desired lighting, I would have to use one of the lighting systems that you suggested? If so, would I have to buy a specific tank to suit them or just add them to the top of my Juwel Rekord 800?

10 gallon Betta community- first tank

I think it's best to leave out the otocinclus. Or just get a larger tank. An overstocked tank is much harder to maintain than you think.

    People opposing bloodworms. Why?

My fish don't really like eating bloodworms. Every time I feed them bloodworms, there are many left over and they don't seem excited to be eating them.
