Thanks, i didn't think they would. The 2 chromis would go if i did add the blennies though. Yeah my sand gobies get along good. I've got one male and 3 females so he's constantly busy dancing for them. Again thanks.
It's a 3 x 18 x 18 the tiger is alredy there. It's established. About 50kg of live rock, plenty of corals,a pair of premna's, a hexatania, 2 chromis and 4 sand gobies. Not a matter of water condition just a matter of whether they'll get along...
Yeah, thanks cogburn much appreciated, but i've been doing this for quite a while now. Newbie on the forums, not on fish keeping. Any personal experience out there? I've never had drama's with these fish before, i've combined them on a few occasions actually... The second he hit the water the...
I added a flame hawkfish last night and now the hexatania and the cleaner wrasse's are giving him a real hard time. Why would they be flogging him, everything i've read says there shouldn't be a problem...
No reason in particular, just thought i'd ask the question. I've always wondered. I know how people react, i know how other animals react i just wondered if anybody had any 1st hand knowledge on how fish react. Humans should get their sweets from the variety of foods they eat such as fruits too...
Stop me if I'm wrong but I reckon a couple of little thomasii dwarf cichlids (african butterfly, i think their common name is) would handle being moved around a bit...
When i was moving house I bought a bigger tank for my FW Moray. His 1st night in there, it was him all alone with no ornaments or logs or anything. Except a Heater. Guess where my little fella decided to sleep. Now I know it's my fault but he is missing his whole fin. The burn on his side...
Yeah, common as hell in Queensland Australia, a 30cm fish that can squirt water over 1 metre accurately, thats pretty cool! Myself I think the best fish is the freshwater Moray. My fella's over 65cm long and only just a year old!
I have a 48x18x18 heavily salted(not brackish)housing a freshwater moray, 3 adult discus sized Red Scats, 2 15cm bristlenose and 2 20cm Synodontis Eupterus with the addition of a beautiful emporer pleco(when he's big enough) Any ideas on middle and top level fish? Was thinking african butterfly...
No they are definately freshwater, all fish will tolerate somes salts with few execptions. Salt slows the osmatic process in freshwater fish, making them more tolerant and more resistant to bacterial and fungal infections. The amount of 1 teaspoon per gallon is slight, a standard aquarium...
Just make sure they don't go with any livebearers, angels, barbs, black widows or anythig else nippy. Fighters for the tough name really are pussies. Fighter vs. Mollie? I've got my money on the mollie!
Dude Figure 8's are freshwater!? And despit that they only grow to 6cm so Pictus, Bristles, even larger cories like sterbai or brochis emeralds etc will be fine
I just installed a DIY CO2 canister using an aqua one 500L\H internal as a powerhead and i was just wondering how long i should wait for CO2 to be created\injected. Also am I better to put it on top or under my tank? Is CO2 Heavier or lighter then air, or doesn't it matter because it's under...
I have heard stories (all that they may be) about bb gobies sucking the eyes out of guppies. If you have a close look they have a large mouth for such a small fish too. Also I put a yoyo from my 55 gal into my 15 gal guppie breeder to clean up the snails and lost alot of my guppies but i...
At my shop at the moment we have a four foot with about 65 4 inch clown loaches you should hear them go at feeding time! You can't talk to the customer in the fishroom for almost half an hour!
Yeah I had a post on here just the other day cause i did a water change and no neutralizer for approx 20 hours. Hey things happen, plus it's the silly season hey!
He's about 1 year old, he also has recently started doing headstands when he's resting. Don't get me wrong though he is healthy and happy and his three mates are as well. No photos sorry. I suck at taking them.
I may have another option hopefully. Would it work if i got the water out of my guppy breeding tank and put that in? My guppies are all healthy and they should survive a dose of untreated water shouldn't they? It is a pretty well matured tank as well.
