I have had a SunSun canister filter for a few years. It is pretty quiet. I have to pay close attention to even hear it. I also have an Aquatop canister on that tank. It is just barely audible. With the tv, videogames, music, or talking to friends, I never hear them.

Have you inquired as to if they will special order fish for you? My LFS doesn't have much of a selection, but they will order any fish I want. They come with the regular order, so i don't have to pay any shipping costs.

There is a small one down the street from me. They don't have a great selection on hand, but they will order pretty much anything you want. I keep African Cichlids. I told them what I wanted, and they arrived within a week. Their saltwater collection is larger.

You probably need to turn the faucet up more. If it has little suction and fills slowly, that is likely the cause.

I like mine because it is just down the street that I live on. The owner and I have become friends sort of. She can get me any fish I want and any size I want within a week's time. My Chihuahua and I go shopping there frequently. She also cut me a great deal on a 75 and a stand.

Moved a fish I took my mean as hell O.B. Peacock out of the 75gal and put him by himself in a tank in my bedroom. He beat up two fish and killed a third. He was the biggest and most dominant fish. He had been in the living room for 2 years before he did this.

105g total 75g Mbuna 30g Guppies I have been keeping fish for well over 20 years.

I have a female Cobalt Blue named Betty. She is in there with a lot of males of various species. I haven't seen her in a few days. There are at least three caves in my tank that I can't see into. Could she be holding and hiding? I love her, and she is so pretty.

Yes, whenever I go near the tank my African Cichlids follow me. If I stop, they all swim to the top and stare me down. They are well-fed, but always hungry. I don't if they love me because of the environment I have provided them, or if they just want me for the food. :fish2:

You already have the community tank. I would mix it up and go with cichlids for the new one. Like previous poster, I am in no way objective. :)

If it is a mostly whitish cloudy, you may have a bacteria bloom. Give your filter time to build up proper bacteria bed. This often happens when several fish are introduced to a newly setup tank. Keep doing the water changes and just wait. If you need to rinse your filter media, do it in the...
