    Blue Marble Crayfish??

Is that what does it? I had some spirulina tabs I tried giving to my marble but she doesn't really like them, she just ignores the tabs. Maybe I'll try and find some other type of fish food for her with spirulina in it.

    Blue Marble Crayfish??

What makes a marble crayfish turn blue? The are all self cloning, but I see some that are Brown, then others that are just the lightest hue of blue in it and other marble crays that are a very intense blue. How do you make the blue come out in them? :ermm:

Marble crayfish and Dwarf Cajun crayfish?

Would they be okay together in a 40 gallon tank? Just curious since I read that for crayfish they are pretty peaceful in community tanks... Curious if they would be okay with each other too? If anyone knows that would be great!

    Angelfish pair are not spawning?

All right, I'll go take a look tomorrow at my lfs for some Prime... and my small tank does have a sponge filter, but my big tank does not. So do small water changes and just take some of the water from the big tank and put some of it into the small tank (after a water change)?

    Angelfish pair are not spawning?

Well, I tested my big tank parameters. PH is 7.0, high range PH is 7.4, ammonia is 0 ppm, nitrite is 0 ppm, and nitrate is 40 ppm. The tank temperature (so it reads) is between 79 and 81 F. But... I tested my small tank with the baby fishes in there and I came out for that tank with.. PH 7...

    Angelfish pair are not spawning?

Okay.. I'll have to get my parameters checked. But if it's not that, it could be because of the other tank mates in with them? Would that still be a problem even though they had spawned the first time with the tank mates there?

    Angelfish pair are not spawning?

I had them in a community tank back in the summer and they spawned, but the fry unfortunately did not survive so I took the other fish out of the tank and just left the breeding pair... 2 weeks later and a little over a month ago now they spawned again, I took the eggs out of the tank and put...

    Disappearing Fry?

Thanks, I didn't even think of that. I thought that wouldn't be an issue where they were all under 4 weeks old... This was happening over the span of those 4 weeks... How old would you recommend to start dividing them? :ermm:

    Disappearing Fry?

That might be what's happening... It's just funny that I haven't even noticed any little lifeless bodies floating in the tank if they were dying. I have one of the Tetra Whisper filters in that tank with the nylon over it, that might be what has happened. Whenever I've watched them they never...

    Disappearing Fry?

Yes but I haven't seen any dead bodies of the fry in the tank... I thought I would see them floating in the tank if they had.

    Disappearing Fry?

I'm not sure what's happening to my angelfish fry. They're in a 10 gallon tank all by themselves, with a filter that has nylon over it, and of course a heater.. and that's about it. I started out with 11 wigglers, and last week I could only count 8 or 9. Today I can only seem to count 5. I'm...

Water quality in Angelfish fry tank!

When I changed the water every day in the tank I would let the water sit for a day with the Nutrafin tap water conditioner and Nutrafin Cycle in it. That was fine, water quality was fine.... But yesterday when I did it there were all these flaky fragments in the distilled water. I noticed the...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

And how spotless does the fry tank need to be? I do about 25% water changes every single day, and use a baster to suck up as much stuff on the bottom of the tank as I can... but I can never get every single particle. I even take a paper towel and wipe the bottom but it always seems to stir up a...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

How long should brine shrimp be kept in the fry tank? Are you supposed to remove the brine shrimp if some haven't been eaten within a certain amount of time?

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

Sure! I bought it off Amazon, but there's a good website here that explains it: Tom Aquatics Hatch N Feeder It's kind of an interesting device. It has flaws of course... but it does get the job done. As soon as the eggs hatch in the machine the shrimp swim up and then I'm assuming the...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

That's what I thought! I think tomorrow morning I'll just let the fry out of the breeding trap and into the 10 gallon again to swim freeeeeee! :D The brine shrimp should be hatched then tomorrow anyway, and that way they can get at it. I have that... continuous brine shrimp hatchery that...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

I read somewhere that if you put the fry in a 10 gal and fill it up all the way, they'll tire themselves out swimming all over the tank especially when they're trying to get to food. So paranoid, I put the babies in a breeder box that floats in the 10 gal. What an AWFUL little contraption! :lol...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

And they weren't free swimming when I moved them, but now that they're in the jar by themselves they're still wiggling, just all congregating at the bottom of the jar. I know I put a bunch in the jar and when I look in it looks like I have none!

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

Okay. I need HELP. I took the wigglers out of the big tank and transferred them into the 10 gallon. That went great. The only problem is the 10 gallon was so big and the fry were so microscopic I couldn't tell where any of them were! So I put them in a small glass jar, and I have no idea what to...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

Yeah, my only problem is that the fake plant is so big that I'll have trouble removing it from the tank and keeping it submerged in water the whole time. If only it was smaller then I'd have no problem

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

All right, so... my wigglers started "wiggling" last Friday night and they're STILL wiggling. I thought they would start free swimming by now! There seems to be less wigglers than there originally were, I think some of them are dying for some reason. The Dad is picking up some of the fallers...

    Moving my Angelfish eggs?

Okay, phew. Perfect. And one more question. I swear. (for now...) Would you recommend a water change on the fry tank BEFORE I move the fry into that tank or after? I know you need to do regular daily water changes on the fry tank, I'm just not sure if it would be a good idea to change...

    Moving my Angelfish eggs?

Currently they still are yes! And yes I've been moving some of the big tank water into what's going to be the fry tank. I was also wondering, when the parents moved the eggs a few hours before they became wigglers, they moved a white egg too. Or it became white after, I'm not sure... Is that...

    Wigglers At Last!!!!!

Hoo! Ok! Page 80... haha, I'm getting there! As I've been reading I've started to wonder... Water changes on the fry tanks. Should you still put the chemicals in the new water you're going to put into the tank? (The Cycle, tap water conditioner...) It wouldn't hurt the fry or anything, would...
