Can anyone suggest how I can help my Anachris plants come back to life. Alot of the leaves are turning brown. What food do you suggest. How do I provide CO2 without spending hella cash. It's only a 2.5 gallon tank, so I don't see the need for a CO2 tank and set up, it wouldn't be worth it. Thanks

I agree with loganj on the flow, and LR you should go with at least 1 1/2 lbs - 2 lbs of LR per gallon if you want corals. Get another Maxi Jet and you should be fine. Try placing them so that they meet somewhere in the middle. This will creat random currents.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Not good, do a DSB instead, with the plenum you have the chance of nitrates building up dew to "Dead space" which may trap waste. About 4" of Aragonite should do you just fine, just make sure to let the thing cycle before adding anythinng. Hope that helps

cool, thanks for the info. That's what I was thinking about the brita myself. It gets rid of the really nasty stuff like the coppers and zincs, plus helps reduce chlorine and all that. The water she uses has a ph of 6.8, I'm not worried about the hardness just the purity. Thanks Zic :smokin:

It just has the standard bulb that came with the tank. It's a minibow 2.5 gallon, is there another type of light I could use?
