My liked the floating hornwort but I don`t have the proper lighting to sustain live plants for now so I had to get rid of the hornwort. They hide under and in it and use it to hold themselves near the surface of the tank.

They didn't have anacharis or any other floating plant at the pet store so I just got hornwort to try it, it looks nice in there and they fish were afraid at first but they seem to like it now.

I have not topped up the water since my last post 3 days ago, the ammonia is the same (between 1 and 2 PPM), nitrites are still 0ppm but nirAtes have gone to 5ppm...Does this sound right to anyone? Should I add more ammonia yet or wait until it is a SOLID 1 ppm? Thanks.
