Received wrong plant in online order, help ID

I ordered some dwarf pennywort online, but received a different plant. Seller refunded me the money and I get to keep what I got, but I have no clue what it is. Originally thought it was staurogyne repens when it was in the cup, but upon taking it out, I'm now pretty sure it's not. What say you?

    Free: Phyllanthus Fluitans/Red Root Floaters

I'm really not sure what the demand for these are, but I'll have red root floaters available very soon as they've continued to grow atop my 20G long at a rapid pace. I should have enough to send a good amount to 2-4 takers in a small USPS Priority flat rate box. I'm thinking at minimum...

    Need pleco ID help

Hello all, I picked up this pleco today, my first. It was sold as a bristlenose which is what I was looking for. However, after getting it home and seeing it up close, it looks more like a clown pleco. It's only about an inch long. My fault for not looking closer at the store, I'm embarrassed...

For Sale: Moving Overseas Sale! Fish, plants, equipment, supplies!

Well, the time has come to take down my aquarium. Some of you might remember I had a thread regarding my situation (http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums/f12/just-found-out-im-moving-overseas-330815.html), so I won't go into it again here. So, now available to a good home in the Colorado...

CPD Owners - Feeding and General Behavior?

CPD owners! I got a school of CPDs over a week ago and wondering if I'm feeding them right. Do they prefer floating or sinking food? I currently use floating and they are very hesitant to feed from the surface and sometimes wait until they start sinking. By then, most of the food is gone...

Just found out I'm moving... overseas

Well, as the title says, I'm getting a reassignment to Europe this summer. It’s not 100% set in stone because, well, that’s just the way it is in the military; I’ll know more as the date gets closer. While I’m ecstatic at the opportunity to be stationed In Europe again (did a tour in Italy...

Adding New Fish - how many?

As I continue setting up my community tank, I think I've decided on 8-10 celestial pearl danios to complete the stock. The issue is that I have to drive over an hour to the nearest LFS that has them in stock. Preferably, I'd like to get them all at once so I'm not driving back and forth...

Looking for Ideal Small Driftwood to Anchor Plants

Hi all, looking for the best type and source (ebay, aquabid, e-retailer, etc.) for smaller pieces of driftwood to anchor plants (not for decoration). Would Malaysian driftwood be ideal for this since it is heavy and light on the tannins? I'm not looking for a large centerpiece to put plants...

LFS with Celestial Pearl Danios? (C-Springs or Denver)

Hi fellow CO enthusiasts! I'm in the C-Springs area and looking for an LFS in town or as far out as Denver (I guess Pueblo as well) that stocks celestial pearl danios. I only seen them in pictures and videos and would love an opportunity to see them in real life. I'm very interested in adding...

Optimum Canister Filter Spray Bar/Inlet Configuration

Hi all, I recently set up an Eheim Classic 2215 in my 20g high. I want to optimize the configuration, so I was wondering if there is good guidance on this. I currently have it set up in what seems to be the most popular way - spray bar is horizontal on the back glass, about a half inch below...

    Tankmate recommendations

I currently have two dwarf flame gourami and 5 peppered corys in my 20g high. Can you please give some recommendations on potential tank mates to round out the aquarium? So far I've been considering neon tetra or zebra danio. I've heard the gourami might not like the fast fish darting around...

Best way to remove water calcification on aquarium trim?

After 3 years, there's a good bit of calcification on my aquarium hood and trim. What's the best way to remove it while the fish are still in there? Any safe chemicals out there that would be OK if some got into the water? I was thinking about just scraping it if there's no other option, but...

    Cheers from CO!

Hi all, new the site. Been dabbling in fish tanks on and off over the years and currently have a 20g community, lightly planted and filtered with an Eheim 2215. It has dwarf flame gourami and peppered corys. I'm researching what else to add. Anyways, I hope to learn a lot from you all and...
