1st cichlid loss

Lost my first Ellioti today
I come home from work and he was on his side with missing scales and really nipped fins.
I put him in a breeder box to stop him getting nibbled and he lasted about 10minutes after that

I'm about to lose my first as well.. same thing. He's all nipped up. I had him in the refugium because he was getting roughed up but had to put him in the main tank for a few days while I redid the pump. We'll see if he makes it.

if you are going to keep Cichlids you might as well get used to it, that is just the way they are , no fun to lose fish but it is going to happen as hard as you try to discourage it.i have lost 1 a week for the run of a month then all is ok
someone in there was P.O. and took it out on the rest , it happens
