2 stage RO

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!

2 stage is not good, it will probably kill the RO part, as the RO part is weak to chlorine...

I suggest you invest at least in a 3 stage;
waterflow --> Mech-->Carbon-->RO.

I'm using a MaxWaterFlow system, but I found a used one on local used website.

Or maybe you can find something cheaper like this:

That's a good three stage as I talked previously, you'll preserve the RO part, this is the most expensive part of the thing.

Thank you

Carbon is for removing the Chlorine before the water get into the RO membrane, it will preserve it.

Why do you want to invest in a RO unit for freshwater, do you have tap ammonia/trites/trates or hardness issues ? Shrimps dying from coopers ?

If you don't have any issues and your KH/GH is low, then I won't waste money in this, except if you go into the reef/saltwater hobby...
