Hello!

I have some questions about stocking my currently empty 20 gallon high tank. I would love to do Bolivian Rams and kuhli loaches with some small schooling fish, but I've read mixed things about this combination and my tank size. Is it okay to keep a pair of Bolivian Rams and four kuhli loaches in that tank size? Would it be better to only have one ram? I plan to have the tank be densely planted but I want to know if the loaches will work before I choose my substrate.

Thank you!

if it is a proven pair then the 20 gallon would be fine. I have kept German Rams with Chocolate Kuhli loach without any issue but the Kuhli loach would burrow or hide under ornaments. The Chocolate Kuhli are a bigger specie than the striped specie.
