Sorry for not providing an update sooner. Since the last post, I have run PEX plumbing from the main tank across the ceiling to the unfinished area of my basement which will be home to the water storage and mixing tanks. I started running my beer line for the kegerator too. I have all e walls insulated and about half the ceiling complete. I am getting a drywall estimate tomorrow--I hate drywalling myself :). Here are some pics, ill try and post some more tomorrow.

Thanks for viewing everyone!

You might just have the build of the year going on here,...I assume you're a carpenter by trade ? ,.. No one has asked, but how much $$ is involved with this whole project?? I love the comment regarding the " beer line" ,..a very important piece of equipment right there!!! Outstanding job so far !

Hey, thanks for the compliment! Actually, I am a systems engineer for avionics equipment but I love building stuff. I probably have about 5 k invested so far in the entire basement. That number is going to go wayyyy up soon as I will be contracting out my dry wall and purchasing a fireplace. Then I still have to buy all of the equipment for the tank. I figure the light alone is going to set me back about 1,000, and that's for a DIY LED kit.

Hello everybody, sorry its been awhile since my last update.

New updates, I have all of the basement insulation installed and all the sheet rock is hung. During the rest of the month I will be taping and mudding. Stand tuned!

Wow. It's looking great and the tank is gonna be the centrepiece, bet you can't wait to invite friends and family over for a drink at the bar to show it off!!! ;D

Looks awesome. When you going to get that tank plumbed so you can start cycling?

looks awesome! what kind of beer are you brewing? my sister is the manager at a place called northern brewer shes got about 50 gallons of beer going

Sorry it's been so long since my last update. I've been concentrating on getting the rest of the basement finished and I also have a baby due next month! Since last time I have gotten all of the walls, flooring, doors, and most trim work complete. I also installed a gas fireplace. I will start building the aquarium components soon hopefully. I am going to build a DYI LED light, a protein skimmer, and UV filter. Anybody know of any good deals on return pumps? I have my eye on the Mag Drive 24. Stay tuned!
