24" glass tops?

i have a 60 gallon 48"x13". i assumed two 24" glass tops would work, but each one is just a tad too big to fit down into the slots. they still work i guess and i just got a canopy to put over it, but are there options that fit precisely?

Marineland makes a specific canopy for that tank, accounting for the center bar. Here is the one you need:

Marineland Perfecto Glass Canopy 48 in. x 13 in.

Marinelands part number is 33480.

I just did it today. Go to lowes and get two .220 in inch thick pieces of acrylic and have them cut it to 23 1/4 and the width of your tank because of the rims. I have a 55 that is 48"x13" and i got the two pieces 23 1/4 x 11 7/16

If the acrylic is that thin the heat from a high output light will make it bend and bow.
