I think I might do the peppered cories instead of the loach or pleco. I'm just so confused lol what bottom dwellers are your favorite

There are many dwarf cichlids to choose from. Agasazzis, Apistogrammas, Checkerboards, etc. and many others, like shell dwellers, kribs, rams, keyholes, a single angel, maybe jewel cichlids, IDK.

jewels get almost 6 inches long. there probably not a very good idea

Corys would be fine. Some people say that rams chase them, but nothing serious. I have not had that issue. Personally, I have kuhlis, corys, and pitbull plecos with my Bolivian rams. Truthfully, it all depends on your preference. I LOVE all my little bottom feeders. They are all great fun in their own way. Corys are a fun and wonderful addition to any tank. But, I wouldn't give up my loaches for anything! You will see the corys more, but the rams will ignore the kuhlis better.
