Hello, I'm new to these forums and the hobby of fish keeping. I'm very excited to start, but I need some advice from some more experienced fish keepers. I planning on starting a 30 gallon freshwater aquarium, and I'd like to stock it as follows:
4-5 Corydoras Catfish
2-3 Kuhli Loaches
7-11 Neon Tetras
2-3 Black Mollies
Will this be overstocked? I'm not sure what I'll be doing for filtration yet or whether or not it'll be a planted tank. I assume both variables would impact the initial question.
Also, I've heard that black mollies can be aggressive in community tanks, so would they be a poor choice?
Also, I plan on using sand substrate, as I've heard that it will prevent barbel damage on the corydoras. Speaking of which, will they be alright with the kuhli loaches? Would that be to many bottom feeders?
And do you think that a second story floor could support a 350-400 pound aquarium?
Sorry I know I've got a lot of questions but I want to start it off right!
