It has been a long journey of planted-tank education for me and I think I'm headed down the right path finally with my 30 gallon. I'm thinking about buying another tank, or taking a Mulligan on my existing tank and just re-aquascaping it.

What do you think about glass versus acrylic tanks? Any good online retailers?

Also, I would like to get a larger tank but invested so much in a new canister filter, lighting, heater, and circulation pumps for my 30. All of my equipment will work in a 40 gallon and the 40 would give me 3" more vertical height. But going to a 40 would change my lighting ratio from 2.6 watts/gallon to 1.95. Looking at PPS pro the suggestion is to run lighting a couple of hours more. Of course, it depends on my plant selections...

Any thoughts??

I personally prefer glass, but it really is up to personal preference. The only thing I would watch out for is acrylic scratches a whole lot easier than glass.
