3M Colorquartz as gravel..problems

Hello

I rinsed till water ran clear.. now my first tank is constantly cloudy also with each water change I get a black line across front of tank where water level had stopped.. needs constantly cleaning.
Anyone have similar experiences? Corrections you made?

its common in dusty substrate for this to happen. it takes a couple months for it to settle down. try using a plate or using something in the tank so you dont disrupt the gravel when doing wc.

When I first changed to sand, and I didn't have fish, I filled up the tank and did a few 99% water changes. It didn't get everything, but it's a thought.
