Hey guys, just got my 55 gallon tank fully stocked and up and running. This tank used to house a single Oscar, but since then I've moved the tank and I wanted to do a community tank with a larger cichlid as the focus. Despite some people's misgivings towards them, I love blood parrots, and decided to have a single blood parrot, with other active fish that have a lot of personality.
1 x Blood Parrot
7 x Tiger Barbs
4 x Yoyo Loaches
1 x BN Pleco
So far, there haven't been any issues with aggression, as the Tiger Barbs keep the fighting within the school. The Loaches just seem to be having fun, and the BP has been very relaxed.
Plants are all fake minus the grass, as I'm starting to try live plants. Next project is probably a full on planted tank, but we'll see! Let me know what you all think. More pics to come later
