I have a 55 gallon aquarium with a emperor 400 power filter, providing 80 gallons of filtration, and I was hoping for some advice.

Ok, so right now, I have these fish-
1. 1 Firemouth
2. 2 Honduran Red Points
3. 1 Bristlenose pleco

Petsmart has a "10 fish for $10" sale going on right now, and I hope to buy dither fish with that deal. Here are the options-

I like Tiger Barbs and Tetras, but I worry 10 fish would be way too over-stocked for my current filter. Other than the dither fish, here is what I hope to be my final stocking-
1. 2-3 Firemouths
2. 2 Honduran Red Points
3. 1 Birstlenose Pleco
4. 1 clown pleco
5. A school of dither fish
6. 4 Synodontis Petricola

Would this be over-stocked? Thanks for your help.

Hi! :) You might try this question on the cichlid sub-forum....just a suggestion. I do not know enough about the firemouth to suggest one way or another. Wish I could be of more help.
