So I have been putting together a 55 gallon tank build piece by piece. And done a lot research and asked a lot of questions on what size filter heater to get. What I am seeing some of the threads has me worried that perhaps i went to small. I have a fluval 306 and a aqueon pro 150 heater. Are they going to be enough or am I screwed. I have already cycled my tank gravel and five serpae tetras to start my tank off.

If I remember correctly, the aqueon pro is suitable for 55g assuming you keep your home at a constant temperature of 76F.

The filter seems a little weak though. I'd try to achieve at least 550gph flow.

As far as the filter the research I have done and from what I have been told is that it does at least 400 gph

At best, maybe close to 400gph without any media or filter pads and canister being closer to the tank rim..
