I've had my 55 gallon tank set up for a month now and i need to do a water change so I bought two new 5 gallon buckets but I'm just curious if anyone can give me any advice on the buckets themselves. I'm not sure if I should try to clean the bucket and if I should what do I use? Like I said they are brand new.... They look and smell clean (no noxious plastic or chemical smells). Obviously I want to avoid soaps and chemicals... Is vinegar good? Or just let them buckets sit full of water for a day and then dump it? What do you think?

I just bought a new one last week from home depo, all I did was rinse it out with water. Have used it on all my tanks and have had no problems. Using vinegar is surely your best bet to thoroughly clean it.
