Just fish? If so, lighting is immaterial, just make sure there is some light.

Completely depends on what route you're looking to take. Low light, medium light, or high light?

Anubis nana petite is one of the main plants I would like to use. It seems like a good plant for the kuhlis I plan on getting once I get my 55g set up and cycled. Am I wrong in this assumption? Also if you could provide some plant ideas that would be cool. Please and thank you.

Right now in my 55g I'm rocking some crypts, anacharis, wisteria, jungle val, corkscrew val, anubius nana, and a queen marble sword. All these are under only 2 15w 18" T8 bulbs. The anacharis and wisteria seem to grow pretty fast, the different val coming in close behind.

You can grow anubias in most light setups. I would definitely try to get some full spectrum bulbs, but they really aren't picky, although they will definitely grow faster with more intense light. For a 55g I would probably use a 2x54w T5ho fixture.
