No the turtles need heat and UVB. The t8 would be in addition to those

You can get them in uvb bulbs but for the heat I'm not sure I just use the cfl bulbs for that.

Uvb strip bulb is what I aim for with my tank when I upgrade to a built 200 gallon the heat I have with a secondary uvb in a basking area which if u had more water like up to the top 2 inches turtle would climb up and dry off completely for hours at a time mine sometimes goes up and down splashing

Also it has an underwater platform that let's him rest his head to the surface so he can sleep better they love it
