Well, I just want to start this post by saying I Hate Frank and ADG.

Anyway, now that that's out of the way, MY ADA STUFF CAME IN! So excited you wouldn't believe. I'll keep this one short but here's some pics of what all I got for the build so far. Now its time to drain, clean and remove everything from the tank so I can start getting the scape together. Really a blank slate today so throw out suggestions for placements if you have an idea!

I always wondered if all those extras were really necessary. I thought Amazonia was magic on its own?

To be honest, I'm not really sure either but once this is started its not like I can just lift up the substrate and slide that stuff in haha. I thought if I was going to try my hand at a purposefully planted rimless tank then I ought to give myself the best shot at something pretty so I bought them. I was going to buy the Clear Super along with it but I bought the power sand special s and it says it has it already in it. Maybe its all overkill, or maybe its not, my 75g is just regular black sand so I'll let you know if I notice a difference

Well either way... Congrats on all the new stuff. Its surely an exciting thing embarking into new areas of the hobby. All the pros use that stuff so it has to be good! My cheap way of hacking life are with flourish tabs! Haha

Haha yea believe me, my 75g and I know flourish and API tabs well! Well, back to square one +background, chiseled away at some rocks to get them more how I wanted them and I think I know a little better how the hard scape will go, we'll see how it turns out haha

That tank is gonna grow like crazy with that system. This is going to be very interesting! I bet yours will grow twice as well as mine will.

Haha I barely know what I'm doing, if it does grow well ill give 90% of the credit to ADA. A little update, got all the additives in and the substrate and substrate supports in. The path seems a little wide but I did that for a reason sort of, I think as far as scale goes it'll be pretty good and being a bit wider may give me a little wiggle room if the plants try to spread over the supports. Maybe I'm wrong, but in theory it sounds good right? Haha
Doing all this on a white table cloth actually helped A TON, it really helped me see where the path would go while I was putting in the plant substrates

Looks real good!! You GOTTA do a YouTube build video!! Or a series!! This is serious stuff right here!!!

Haha if I had three hands I would have. I would have loved to see this in a time lapse! But the GF is having happy hour girls night while I'm having fish night so it just wasn't worth the time trying to figure out the how of it haha. Besides, I've got dwarf corys and shrimp hanging out in a bucket waiting for their new home! I'll take a lot of pictures though and once all the water and fish are in I'll start taking videos and stream them together as things progress. So I've got my rocks in and filled the tank with plastic like they tell you to in green machine videos so I don't disturb the substrate. So I'll guess you'll have to wait a short bit longer to see it!

Plastic wrap wasn't perfect, but it got the job done I suppose. I got a lot of Amazonia dust onto the white sand so I'll have to do some siphoning and replacing, but anyway, its filled

So here it is so far, what do you guys think? It's cloudy because I just put the baby tears in, and the path is pretty dirty but I'll fix that. I didn't realize how much ammonia the aqua soil would leach out, its crazy! So now everybody is hanging out in my 20g while I re-cycle the tank, that's disappointing haha

It s looking really good! One step at a time, my aquatic brother! Still following :).

Thank you all! It means a lot to hear that. So today I bought dwarf baby tears, dwarf hairgrass, giant hairgrass and red dwarf lilies. When planting the DHG i may or may not have slipped out a few unkind words, i hate when objects can seem to follow commands. The lilies and giant hairgrass of course went in my 75 and totally made the tank so at least I have that to offset my feeling of inadequacy with the rimless haha. Did back to back 70% WCs to try and get the ammonia from the soil down and now I'm giving it some time before I test the parameters again.
