Aquarium Advice Freak
wadup all? as most of you know ,i have started "reefing" almost a year now and I fell it is time for an upgrade! I am looking at a 90 gal long to make my next reef. now this is where I am stuck at...I am wanting a good filtration system yet still keep it simple...so far the sump and the DSB with Live Sand Filter (Jaubert/Plenum Filter) is looking to be the best over all. What do you all think? I am open to all suggestions where as there are like 5000 different types of filtration....A buddy has 4 emperor 400's on his 125, no sump or anything like that just the HOB filters, he isnt stocked heavy at all and his tank looks great! he does a condsiderable amount of water changes though. Im not trying to skimp on water changes but im not trying to be doing water changes every 3-5 days either....20 % of 90 is alot of water to do every 5 days...I have another friend that has a huge sump, 55 gal on his 125, LS and LR and that it for him...
Im looking for cost effectiveness and simplicity.
