I am going to build a new 55g freshwater tank specially for Mbuna cichlids. So here my question is what kind of freshwater Aquarium Equipments i should buy?

- What sort of filtration system is best?

- What type of Air Pump is needed?

- What kind of cleaning material should i buy?

- Driftwood/Gravel/sand/Substrate?

- Lighting Equipments?

- Fish Food?

I would appreciate if you guys guide me and post some pics of your cichlid tank.

I used the carib sea cichlid substrate, Fluval 406 filter, Whisper air pump. I've had good luck with it. The carib cichlid sand has live bacteria " they says" so I didn't rinse it.
