If you see growth and they have good color they're doing fine. If they're brown and losing flesh they arent

I see polyps out tips have good color the base itself doesnt show much color is that normal?

My friend just picked up that piece. Beautiful acro, honestly you may just want to email Jason fox about it. What better way to learn the best care for it than from the guy who propogated it. I believe it's one of those acrid that can take a bit to adjust but is then a good grower. I don't believe the base is supposed to be super colorful, but if it's browning there I'd be a bit more worried.
