Is there any actinic bulb I can get for my 4g nano tank that would allow coral growth? I currently have a Coralife t5ho dual bulb light on my 4g and it has one daylight 10,000k and one actinic light. Could I replace the daylight with an actinic and still get coral growth? The daylight just seems to bright almost.

just replae one of the bulbs in your light with an actinic of the same size/ wattage

With that provide the right spectrum for the coral to grow?

That must be a super tiny T5 HO light if it's on a 4 gallon tank. I would say a aquablue special which is white with a tint of blue if it was larger.

I'd say just keep it 50/50.

Alright that's what I figured. My button polyps are just not opening up because its so bright it seems and I can't lower them anymore in the tank. It's only 12w of lighting for a 4g.
