Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into, they can get around four feet long. An Iridescent Shark requires a _very_ large tank to gorw and be healthy. You would need something well into the triple digits. They do not stay cute for long either, they can be pretty bland looking.
Iridescent Sharks are really just a fish that should not be sold to 99% of the folks who buy them. Unfortunately for them, they look really cute when they are small so people want to buy them
its a 30 gal. freshwater. also i dont know if i am calling this fish by its correct name i got the fish at living seas and they called it a rainbow shark or a red fin shark its body is blackgray and it,s tail and fins are red . this is the fish that i was told to get rid of not the bala shark
I honestly don't know how long a bala shark can be humanely housed in a 30 gal. The FishProfiles site states that it grows slowly and gets to be 8 inches in about 3 years. I may be mistaken, but I think they are also schooling fish and do best in groups.
