Adding new Pleco to existing tank.

Hi, I have a 3 year old Male Bristlenose Pleco that is full grown to 4 1/2 inches. He is in a 20 gallon tank and couldn't be happier! Is it possible to add another Bristlenose or is my tank too small and would they get along?

Likely not a space issue, but rather a bioload issue. Plec's are messy fish, producing a lot of waste, big water changes and lots of biomedia are good options if you go with another.

Not to mention any other fish you have in the tank...

It’s only him in the tank right now. I’m kind of worried to add something else because I had a 10 gallon with him in it and a few other small fish and I think his waste killed them all. ?
