Adding water during fishless cycle?

I'm on week 2 of my fishless cycle in my 10 gallon and my ammonia has finally started to drop with a small reading of nitrites. I really need to add water to top off my tank due to evaporation. How will this affect my cycle? Will adding Prime after adding my water affect my cycling? It will affect the ammonia I put in a few weeks ago right?

Can I wait an hour after adding water treated with Prime to test my ammonia level and add more if needed?

I just don't want it to kill the bacteria by affecting the ammonia.

You can top off, just add Prime to the water before you put it into the tank. It won't affect the cycle and it won't affect the ammonia readings.

Yup, just dechlorinate it first
