Advice on substrate

I am trying to research best substrate for my 55gal set up...
I know I want my tank to be planted (low lights) and community fish.
Any help would be great!

I like Black Sand the best but it is expensive unless you can find the Black Blasting Sand at Tractor Supply. Other than that play sand is very cheap and that can be found at Home Depot. People also use Pool Sand but it is more expensive. Another option is gravel. Home Depot has tons of different kinds that you can choose from but the best IMO is just plain Pea Gravel. Good luck choosing.

Eco complete or Floramax are great options for planted tanks.
