Aglae scrubber

As anyone have any experience with algae scrubbers ? I have had one going on my 150gl and have had no problems so far. It's been about 6 mos and I've never used a protein skimmer. All my nitrites and nitrates are near zero. Seems to be working just fine.

Floyd R Turbo is a big user of the algae scrubber on here. Look in the DIY section and you will see a large thread going over building one. He has had really good luck as well.

A lot of hobbyists are switching to scrubbers ...I have been using a scrubber only set-up for a few years now..Never used a skimmer.
