I bought this albino bichir expecting it to have pink eyes like all the pictures I've seen, yet he has black eyes. Is he an albino or what? His body and fin coloring match the albino ones, just not the eyes. ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1418780577.666580.jpg

doesn't look albino to me. I have seen bichers with light skin color that are not albino

He looks darker in that picture. His body is pink and kind of yellow outlined, but he's also kind of young so maybe he'll turn more silver with age.

Hm odd, his caudal and anal fins are yellowish like the other albinos but his face looks nothing like the standard albinos. Maybe bad genes or something?

I prefer dark eyes on white fish. Not a fan of the pink eyes.

In birds we'd call this Lutino
It's a nice color. Usually ends up white to a nice yellow.

According to Monster Fishkeepers this was a very rare and desirable fish [emoji106]. They call it a Lutino as well. Thread from 2008
