It's been 2 full weeks since i set up my 30 gal tank and it's in cycle. I took a shot in the dark and bought an algae eater for my tank. I know they get bigger than 10" and can turn cannibalistic on your community of fish. He's doing fine since i brought him home and ive been occasionally feeding him tropical flakes. I'm being careful...I already had 1 of 3 Comet Goldfish die. T-T Any tips on care for algae eaters? :3

What sort of algae eater? Pleco or Chinese or Siamese ? The goldfish ( as you may know) they will get too big for that tank you could keep one though

Yes i know how big goldfish get, since they're idealy for ponds, right? I believe he is a pleco. He's long and slender with white/brown spot and line patterns?

Just feed them a varied diet and keep an eye on aggression ATM . I've heard they suck the slime coat of fish so be warned lol!! :D
