Algae outbreak!

Hi there, for the last couple weeks my sand started turning brownish which I researched and it sounds to be diatoms. But now I am getting Algae all over the glass of my tank I did a water change last week and cleaned it off the glass but now 5 days later its pretty bad again, is there a reason I am getting soo much and will it harm my fish? Some people say its "normal" since my tank is only 2 months old that it is cycling is this true?

Yes it can happen while cycle starts just ride it out do your normal water changes clean the glass like normal start a log of your testing readings and compair them and you should be fine
