well my 20 gallon planted tank has not been an easy 1st try at a planted tank. once i moved my kenyi out and got some nice tetras, everything looked fine. all the plants were nice and green, but now it seems my blue green algae is back and also some hair algae of some sort. what can i get to eat either of these algaes? also what nitrate levels should i keep it at to get this algae gone for good? i have flourish nitrogen already so what can i do? ill get a nitrate reading along with kh tonight

specs
20 gallon- 48 watts of light-hagen co2 system, replacing mixture tonight.

When I had an outbreak of hair algae a few weeks ago, I began dosing potassium. I removed the hair algae with a med. sized toothbrush from the plants that I could save and removed leaves and stems of the ones I couldn't. I haven't seen a recurrence since.

The blue green algae is probably being caused by a different imbalance. How's your lighting?
