My tank has a ton of alge building up on the front of the glass. What's the best way to prevent/take care of that. It kind of makes my tank look disgusting[emoji17].

To remove it I'd recommend a sponge, make sure it's not a regular kitchen sponge and is specifically for aquariums, as practically every kitchen sponge is NOT aquarium safe due to added chemicals to make them dry more efficiently.

When wiping it off, you'll want to turn off your filter so the water isn't circulating, and wipe from bottom to top, rinsing the sponge after every stroke so you don't end up spreading the algae out into your water column.

What happens when you spread the algae out into the water column?
