Algea!!!!!! It wont go away!!!!!!

You can try the lights and excel first and see how it goes for a few weeks. As for fish, I don't know of any fish, shrimp, or snail that eats staghorn. Just keep removing it by hand and see if doing the above changes keeps it from returning.
 
Ok so just an update I shortened my light timing by about 4 hours a day and bang one week later absolutely no algae whatsoever thanks so much to everyone that replied on here you guys are awesome and my discus are happy as well. (They don't like their house to be dirty lol)
 
Soooo happy to hear your tank is doing better. Any chance we can get a picture of one of those discus? I'm a big fan of them and used to keep them in a 55.

The second set of pics is from before I killed the algae see it all over the U.V filter and H.O.B filter.
 
Gorgeous tank. Thanks a ton for posting all the picks. I NEVER would've thought about putting a betta with discus but it really is the icing on the cake.

Yeah I add Bettas to pretty much every tank I ever have except my angel grow out tank cause them angels just get mean
 
Wow, pretty discus!! Anyone know id bettas can be kept with dwarf cichlids? Liker German Rams?

I'm not sure but I would guess no I had two blue acaris that's almost killed one of mine cichlids can and more often then not be aggressive especially something with fins like Bettas
