I am thinking of getting some Amano shrimp for an established 30 gallon planted that currently only houses neon tetras. This is my first time with shrimp. Any helpful advice?

I really like amanos for a planted tank. They are excellent algae scavengers and are fun to watch. They will fit in well with your neon tetras.

I have some in my 10 gallon, and when they come out from their wentii, they are lots of fun to watch. They share the tank with some neone tetras, a betta, and 2 ottos.
Have quite a bit of algae everywhere in the tank right now(still sorting that one out), everywhere except their wendtii, which they do a good job keeping clean.

Forgot to mention that one. Also, be careful with medications, some of them have copper in them as well.
