Had my four Amano shrimp for a few weeks in my "Love It or Hate It Tank", and they are doing great. They mill around on some of the algae and also grab any extra items of food and pellets.

Today, I notice one munching on something new. A nice round gelatinous mass. And he wasn't letting go of it either. He was going to town. Munch munch, turn, munch, munch until all that was left was the skin of it.

Here's a pic of it eating:

I added some ramshorn snails a bit ago too, and they are very happy. All around the tank searching for whatever the amanos don't eat.

I think the amano is eating a ramshorn snail egg pouch. I looked it up and it certainly looks similar to this pic at the bottom of the article.

Ramshorn Snail

What do you think? If they are grabbing snail eggs, that's great. Less manual removal needed from me.
